On April 11th, the second China (Chongqing) Electronic Intelligent Manufacturing and Industry Expo opened at the International Expo Center, with hundreds of domestic outstanding electronic intelligent equipment manufacturers and international electronic equipment manufacturers present, showcasing the most advanced intelligent factory "black technologies."。

It is reported that the exhibition area reached 10,000 square meters, with over a hundred excellent domestic and international electronic intelligent equipment manufacturing companies and international electronic equipment manufacturers participating. They showcased more than 500 precision electronic intelligent equipment and cutting-edge devices, including robots and vision systems, semiconductor technology and application equipment, electronic materials, various laser devices, and other production equipment for different stages of the electronic manufacturing industry chain, as well as related technical services and trade services.

The reporter observed that the expo presented to Chongqing and the southwestern region multiple electronic intelligent manufacturing production lines built with the latest domestic and international smart technologies. Among them, the International Electronics Industry Connection Association (IPC) brought the IPC CFX Demo Line (a demonstration production line for IPC's global interconnect factory data exchange standard) and jointly performed with 17 enterprises a complete high-end Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent factory production line, presenting a fully visual process on-site. It is reported that this is also the debut of the IPC CFX Demo Line in the southwestern region.

Shenzhen General Technologies Co.,Ltd., in collaboration with several other companies, demonstrated a high-mix, high-reliability, and ultra-wide process window SMT production line at the event. "In recent years, the electronics manufacturing industry in Chongqing, including notebook computers and mobile phones, has developed rapidly and has become the largest electronics manufacturing industry cluster in the country. We are very optimistic about this market, and our participation in this exhibition is also an opportunity for us to seek cooperation," said the person in charge of the Shenzhen General Technologies Co.,Ltd. booth.

The person in charge of the organizing committee also stated that after years of effort, Chongqing's electronics manufacturing industry has formed a full-range structure across various sectors including notebook computers, mobile phones, home appliances, avionics, security electronics, medical electronics, smart wearables, and automotive electronics. There are now more than 7,000 electronics manufacturing enterprises of all sizes in Chongqing, which is actively promoting intelligent manufacturing in the electronics industry. According to the plan, by 2022, Chongqing will have facilitated the construction of intelligent production lines in 5,000 enterprises, indicating a huge market potential for high-end intelligent manufacturing equipment.

In this exhibition, many companies are targeting this market in hopes of seeking cooperation, which is also the main reason for the Electronic Intelligent Industry Expo to be held in Chongqing. The intention is to build a platform for communication and exchange for electronics and intelligent equipment companies from East China, South China, and abroad to enter the Chongqing market.

It is reported that to assist Chongqing and the southwestern region's electronics manufacturing enterprises in transforming their production towards high-end intelligentization, and to help enterprises enhance their technology and experience in high-end intelligent management, the expo also hosted the "2019 International Forum on Electronic Intelligent Manufacturing" on-site. Companies like Doov, Konka, and Maisui, among nearly a hundred mobile phone manufacturers and smart health product producers, have settled in cities such as Yibin and Luzhou. The annual output value of the electronics manufacturing industry in the entire southwestern region has already exceeded 3 trillion RMB, forming a massive industrial cluster with significant scale and effect.

Through research conducted by the Shenzhen Terminal Electronics Manufacturing Industry Association in various parts of the southwestern region, it has been observed that a vast scale of electronics manufacturing industry has been established in southwestern China. However, there is a lack of corresponding supply, with tens of billions of yuan worth of components needed annually being externally procured. Similarly, the technical market of the same amount each year remains unsatisfied. Especially in the electronic manufacturing equipment market, which amounts to over 50 billion yuan annually in the entire southwestern region, the vast majority is filled by imported equipment. Despite the huge industry and demand, there is no specialized and effective market trading platform or exhibition to help connect the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, aiming to meet the needs and achieve supply and services.
