Equipped with the all-new MX7 high-speed mounting head technology, the new platform increases the highest mounting speed by 48% while being capable of handling a broader range of component types and sizes. The MYPro MY300 mounting platform launched by Mycronic six years ago has firmly established its position as an industry benchmark among manufacturers specializing in high-mix assembly and frequent NPI (New Product Introduction) production. Thanks to the new high-speed MX7 mounting head technology, the MYPro A40 will further enhance these capabilities, with the ability to mount components six times larger than before and an increase in maximum speed of 48%.

The MYPro A40DX is welcomed by manufacturers aiming to increase production output. Its IPC-rated top speed has been increased to 59,000 cph (components per hour), compared to 40,000 cph for the MYPro MY300DX. To achieve this speed, the new MX7 mounting head integrates seven independent mounting nozzles, controlled by 14 independent Z-axis and θ-axis motors. The advanced dedicated motion control system updates at a speed of 80,000 times per second, achieving an unprecedented perfect match of precision and speed by optimizing every mounting action in the 224 interchangeable feeder positions and the 640x510 mm PCB working area.

To accommodate a broader range of applications and technologies, the new mounting head technology has expanded the upper limit of component sizes by six times, enabling the mounting of components as large as 45×45×15 mm or 150×40×15 mm, or as small as 0.4×0.2 mm (01005), allowing manufacturers to address the ongoing miniaturization of components.

This unique combination of high mounting speed and a broad range of components opens up new possibilities for agile and timely production. Compared to traditional high-mix manufacturers, there is no need to invest in dedicated high-speed production lines to quickly increase output. At the same time, high-volume manufacturers will have the opportunity to expand their product mix in various production configurations, and prototype products without sacrificing speed or line utilization.

The MX7, in conjunction with a high-precision mounting head, is capable of mounting chip components ranging from a minimum size of 0.3×0.15 mm (009005) to a maximum size of 99×73×15/22 mm.

The new machine introduces a redesigned graphical user interface to simplify training and mounting operations, which is also user-friendly for novice operators. By providing intuitive touch screen guidance, the MYPro A40 has taken another step towards the company's goal of fully automatic one-touch operation in the mounting process.

Mycronic's new mounting product lineup includes two models: the MYPro A40DX-13 and A40DX-17, with 8 mm magazine capacities for 160 and 224 feeders, respectively. Additionally, a MYPro A40DX collaboration production line will be offered, equipped with up to 448 feeders, suitable for customers seeking maximum output by combining two MYPro A40DX units into a unified mounting solution.

The MYPro A40 continues the legacy of its predecessors by once again driving the development of flexible PCB assembly with the industry's fastest changeovers, flexible feeders, and a suite of powerful process control systems.
